Our logs are a mixture of softwood and hardwood. All of our firewood is seasoned for a minimum of one year. Hardwoods are very dense which means the firewood will burn on the fire for longer. Seasoned Firewood burns more efficiently as it has a reduced water content. Therfore more energy is used in heating, not evaporating off the water content of the wood. This also means it produces less smoke.
